Fact Check:

Social media users are sharing a video of bones, claiming to show giant bones in Hawaii. One user wrote, “Giant bones in Hawaii!”

This claim is false. The video features a Google Earth location called Kualoa Ranch. Through a keyword search, Check Your Fact found that the video shows bone props from the movie “Kong: Skull Island.”

Images of the bones were published in a Homey Hawaii post about the ranch. The author and his wife visited the ranch during a visit to Oahu.

“In the movie, the characters enter a foggy skeleton graveyard where they’re ambushed by deadly monsters known as ‘Skullcrawlers’. In reality, this collection of skulls and bones couldn’t sit in a more gorgeous clearing. Located in the majestic Ka’a’awa Valley – understandably nicknamed ‘Jurassic Valley’ – it’s a place where visitors can do some skull-crawling of their own,” the post reads.

The ranch also shared an image of the bones in a March 2018 Facebook post.

“That’s some large bones! Who remembers what movie this is from?” the post reads. (RELATED: Did Australia Recently Declare George Soros A ‘Global Terrorist’)

Over 200 television shows and movies have been filmed there since the 1950s, according to the ranch’s website. The ranch website also has a video of its movie set tour, which features the bones.

NewsMeter also debunked the claim.
