FACT CHECK: Is This A Recent Video Of Joe Biden Saying ‘We Can Only Re-Elect Donald Trump?’
A video shared on Facebook purports President Joe Biden recently said, “We can only re-elect [former President] Donald Trump.”

The Facebook video purports Biden recently said, “We can only re-elect Donald Trump.”
The claim is misleading. The Facebook video only shows part of Biden’s comments. In the full video from FOX 4 News Kansas City, Biden said, “We can only re-elect Donald Trump if, in fact, we get engaged in this circular firing squad here.”

The then-candidate’s full remarks are as follows, “Turn, turn this primary from a campaign that’s about negative attacks into one about what we’re for. Because we cannot re-elect, we cannot win this re-election, excuse me, we can only re-elect Donald Trump. Excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump if, in fact, we get engaged in this circular firing squad here. It’s gotta be a positive campaign, so join us.”
In addition, there are no credible news reports indicating Biden made these comments recently. Likewise, the claim neither appears on the White House’s website nor its verified social media accounts. In addition, former President Trump has not publicly responded to the purported claim via his TRUTH Social account.
Trump announced his 2024 presidential bid from his Mar-a-Lago estate back in November 2022, according to CNN.
