An image shared on social media purports Fox News Network has fired Laura Ingraham.

Verdict: False

The claim is baseless.

Fact Check:

Fox News’ company handbook was leaked and has made headlines with its controversial rules regarding gender identity, The Daily Signal. Some of the topics that supporters find troubling include rules that allow employees to use the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity and state they must be referred to by their preferred pronouns in the workplace.

The Facebook post claims that Ingraham has been fired from the network. The post shares this information with white text on a purple background with no source or evidence this occurred.

“Laura Ingraham was just CANNED at Fox News,” the post reads.

There is no credible news report that suggests that Ingraham was fired from her 10pm show “The Ingraham Angle.” Ingraham has made no announcement on her verified social media account. There has been no announcement from Fox News.

A Fox News spokesperson told Reuters Ingraham “is now and will continue to be a prominent host and integral part of the Fox News lineup.”

This rumor comes after Fox News removed Tucker Carlson from the air in late April, according to AP News. NPR reports that Fox’s ratings have dropped by more than half in Carlson 8pm time slot. Carlson recently announced plans to stream his show on Twitter.(RELATED: Image Claims To Show Explosion AT Pentagon)

This is not the first time a false claim has been shared online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim the rate of regret after gender-affirming surgery is only 1%.
