Verdict: False

The video is digitally altered. CNN did not air this.

Fact Check:

When pressed on whether she believes Harris is the best running mate for President Joe Biden, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not give a “yes” or “no” answer, according to The Guardian. Though she does believe Harris is “politically astute” and people don’t give her enough credit, The Hill reported.

An Instagram video shows Harris in an interview with what appears to be a CNN chyron that reads, “Should women give head to get ahead?” The video shows Harris in conversation with a female interviewer on a stage.

“I think we should, yes,” Harris says in the video, supposedly in response to the question posed in the chyron. Much of what she says next has been censored.

The video has been digitally altered, however. The original video was posted to YouTube in 2019 and shows Harris responding to whether she thinks plastic straws should be banned. “Would you ban plastic straws?” the genuine chyron reads. In the video, Harris says she believes plastic straws should be banned, but begins talking about the flimsiness of paper straws.

There are no credible news reports to verify that Harris made such a statement. (RELATED: Kamala Harris Claims Some Polls Say She Has ‘Great Approval Ratings’)
