A photo shared on X, formerly Twitter, allegedly shows musician Bruce Springsteen wearing a shirt that reads “Keep America Trumpless.”

Verdict: False

The photo has been digitally altered. The original image can be found on Getty Images and does not show any text on Springsteen’s shirt.

Fact Check:

President Joe Biden announced that part of his motivation for reelection is to prevent former President Donald Trump from taking office again, according to BBC. Biden also stated that he believes there are “probably 50” Democrats who could beat Trump, in addition to himself, The Hill reported.

The X post purports musician Bruce Springsteen wore a shirt with an anti-Trump message. A photo appears to show Springsteen performing onstage while wearing a shirt that says “Keep America Trumpless” and shows a map of the U.S. with the American flag overlaid on top.

“The Boss has a message for the ex-boss,” the post’s caption reads.

The image is digitally altered, however. The original photo, taken in 2017, can be found on Getty Images and shows Springsteen wearing a plain shirt with no text. “Bruce Springsteen performs onstage during ‘Springsteen On Broadway’ at Walter Kerr Theatre on October 12, 2017 in New York City,” the caption reads.

There are no credible news reports about Springsteen wearing the shirt. (RELATED: Does This Image Show Bruce Springsteen Wearing A Shirt Advocating For Donald Trump To Be Convicted?)
