FACT CHECK: No, Donald Trump Did Not Post About Alina Habba Being Inexperienced

A photo shared on X, formerly Twitter, allegedly shows a Truth Social post from former President Donald Trump about his lawyer, Alina Habba, not having enough experience.

Verdict: False

The photo is digitally fabricated. It cannot be found on Trump’s Truth Social page or his website.

Fact Check:

The federal judge overseeing Trump’s defamation trial threatened to jail Habba after she interrupted him during Friday’s proceedings, according to The Hill. Trump has been ordered to pay over $80 million in damages to E. Jean Carroll, Newsweek reported.

An X photo purports Trump posted criticism about Habba on Truth Social. The post shares a photo of a post that resembles Truth Social formatting and looks to have 86k likes.

“Alina may have lost the case. She may not have the experience that was needed in this very high profile case, probably higher profile than she ever thought she would be involved in at this point,” the alleged post reads in part.

This is not a genuine post by Trump, however. It cannot be found on Trump’s Truth Social page or his website. Likewise, there are no credible news reports about Trump making this statement. (RELATED: Did Fox News Report Alina Habba’s Law Firm Has Federal Tax Liens Totaling $1.7 Million?)
