A post shared on social media purportedly shows a video of former President Donald Trump endorsing President Joe Biden for reelection.

The video is missing context. The ad shows Trump discussing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s endorsement of Biden.

Fact Check:

The President of France Emmanuel Macron stated in a news conference that “nothing should be ruled out” in the defense of Ukraine, CNN reported. This statement included sending troops, but U.N. officials clarified that there are “no plans” for deployment.

The TikTok post purports Trump endorsed Biden. The video shows Trump saying that someone wants Biden to be president and that he agrees.

The text overlay reads, “Trump accidentally endorses Biden.” And the video ends with the Biden campaign logo. The caption reads, “Here’s an ad for the Biden campaign free of charge.”

The claim is inaccurate. The video is taken out of context. The full video shows Trump talking about Putin’s endorsement of Biden. Trump was commenting on Putin’s comments, stating that Biden would be “better for Russia,” according to NBC News. The outlet reported Putin claimed is the more experienced politician and therefore the better choice to his potential general election opponent Trump
