Fact Check:

Russia has launched one of its biggest missile and drone barrages on Ukraine’s energy system since the beginning of the war more than two years ago, according to CNN. Over 1 million households have been left without electricity on Friday morning as a result of the attack, the outlet reported.

An X image purportedly shows a CBS News article about a Ukrainian family murdering its daughter for converting to Islam. The photo shows a man smiling in a selfie.

“Orthodox Ukrainian family kills 26 year old daughter for converting to Islam,” the alleged headline reads.

An alleged sub headline reads, “In Romania,A Ukrainian family who fled the war got a surprise that their own 26 year old daughter converted from Orthodox Christianity to Islam.”

This image has been digitally fabricated, however. There are no matching search results for the alleged article on the CBS News website. The website in question is cbsnews.com, not cbs-news.us, as seen on the image.

There are no credible news reports from CBS News or other outlets to corroborate the claim.  Likewise, it cannot be found on the outlet’s social media accounts. (RELATED: No, Image Does Not Show Ukrainian Female Recruit Who Joined The Israeli Army)
