A viral video shared on X claims 2024 Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump was booed by fans at a Sept. 28 college football game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Verdict: False

The claim is false, as the audio has been manipulated. In the original video, also shared on X, the crowd is cheering, not booing.

Fact Check:

Two new CNN polls conducted by SSRS show 2024 Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is ahead of Trump in North Carolina, the outlet reported. The polls also show Harris “holds a comfortable lead” in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, the outlet indicated.

The X video, viewed over five million times, claims Trump was booed by fans at a Sept. 28 college football game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“Holy f–k‼ The loathsome piece of sh-t was booed at the Georgia vs Alabama football game. Hate, racism, and bigotry is not the flex it once was in the deep South,” the video’s caption reads. In the video, the crowd appears to be audibly booing. Text overlay on the video, which originally stems from TikTok, claims their apparent booing was directed at Trump. The claim is false, as the audio has been manipulated. In the original video, also shared on X, the crowd is cheering, not booing. Trump is briefly shown on a large video screen at the game before the crowd can be heard chanting, “USA.” “The [crowd’s] reaction when Trump is introduced at the Georgia-Alabama game,” the video’s caption reads.

Likewise, Fox News reported Trump attended the Georgia-Alabama game at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, where he was greeted with chants of “USA” and “Four more years.”

Additionally, Trump did not reference the false claim accusing the crowd of booing him via his official website, his TRUTH Social account, or his verified social media accounts. In fact, videos shared on Trump’s verified Facebook and Instagram accounts show fans cheering for him.
