The video is from 2015 in China.

Fact Check:

Iran launched airstrikes that saw 200 missiles fired at Israel on Tuesday, to which Israel has “vowed” to respond to, CNN reported. President Joe Biden stated he would not support Israeli attacks on nuclear sites and Iran also warned against an Israeli response, according to the outlet.

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purportedly shows video of a massive explosion at the Mossad HQ. The video starts showing a small fire as more explosions sound, making the fire expand.

“Huge explosion in Tel Aviv at Mossad headquarters,” the caption reads.

The claim is inaccurate. The video dates back to a 2015 explosion in China. The BBC’s description of the video places the event in Tianjin, China. It reads, “Footage of two massive explosions in the Chinese city of Tianjin, taken by a stunned eyewitness, captured the fear and terror of those who saw what happened.”

The explosion occurred at a hazardous chemicals warehouse, but the cause is unknown, CBC News reported. At the time of the article’s publication, 50 were dead and hundreds were missing.  (Fact Check: Video Shows Iranian Missiles, Not Israeli Interceptors)

Iran did target the Mossad HQ in Tel Aviv, according to Hindustan Times. Missiles hit just 1,500 ft from the building and left a very wide and deep crater.
