The recent vice presidential debate between Walz and Republican Ohio Sen. JD Vance drew 43.1 million viewers, according to The New York Times, which cited Nielsen. The debate was hosted by CBS News and simulcast by other networks, the outlet reported.
The Facebook post, which has received 12,000 likes as of writing, claims Walz has purportedly been barred from college football games following recent booing. “BREAKINGS: Tim Walz Barred from College Football Games After Boos Erupt: ‘We Don’t Want You Her!'” the post, which contains a typo, reads.
The claim is false and originally stems from an Oct. 1 article published on the satire site “SpaceX Mania.”

The claim follows Walz’s recent appearance at the Minnesota-Michigan game, where he was booed by fans, according to Fox News.
Likewise, Check Your Fact did not find any credible news reports to support the claim. In fact, the opposite is true. On Oct. 2, Snopes reported the claim was false, also indicating it originally stemmed from the satire site.
Additionally, Walz has neither referenced the claim on his website nor his verified social media accounts.
