Verdict: False
A royal author stated Harry declined an invitation to Combs’ parties.
Fact Check:
Combs has been accused of sexual assault in several new lawsuits seeking damages, CNN reported. One of the suits filed involved teenaged victims, all were filed anonymously in federal court.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports that new information has been released regarding Prince Harry’s relationship with Combs. The post shows a blurry image of what is allegedly Harry with Combs.
The caption reads, “Royal Family In Trouble As Prince Harry SLEEPOVER with Diddy surface at 20th WHITE PARTY.”
The claim is inaccurate. Christopher Andersen, a royal author, claims that Harry and his brother Prince William declined an initiation to Combs’ now infamous parties, according to the New York Post.
The Artificial Intelligence Detector Hive Moderation suggested that the image was only .2% likely to contain AI generated content. However, the low quality of the image disrupts the detectability of the tool, according to the New York Times.
Prince Harry was mentioned in a lawsuit related to the allegations against Combs, but no video has surfaced, Vanity Fair reported. Along with other celebrities and public figures, Harry was named as someone that has “associated with Combs,” the outlet reported.
There are authentic photos of Combs with members of the Royal family, including Harry, but the photos are not salacious. Such a photo was reported on by Snopes and shows Harry with Combs and musician Kayne West. (RELATED: Does This Headline Reveal Videos Of Lebron James and Diddy Made Public?)
This is not the first time misinformation surrounding Combs has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim the mogul released a video from prison.
