A video shared on X claims to show rapper Snoop Dogg insulting former President Donald Trump in 2024.

Verdict: Misleading

The video is from 2018, not 2024.

Fact Check:

Social media users are sharing a video of Snoop Dogg insulting Trump, claiming it is from 2024. One user wrote, “BREAKING: Snoop Dogg just ripped Donald Trump to threads. Retweet to make sure every American sees this.”

This claim is misleading. The video is genuine, but it is from 2018, not 2024. It shows Snoop on DJ Suss One’s radio show in September 2018.

“Around the 12-minute mark, the conversation turned political and Snoop made it clear that he isn’t a fan of Donald Trump or Kanye West. Snoop sent direct shots at both, saying, ‘F*** him and f*** you too.’ Snoop then said if Kanye wanted to speak with him about what he’s said, he invited Kanye to ‘pull up,'” reads the video description.

Snoop said during a January 2024 interview with the Times of London that he had “nothing but love and respect” for the former president and that “He ain’t done nothing wrong to me.” (RELATED: Image Of Donald Trump Alongside Laura Loomer Has Been Altered To Make Trump Appear Larger)

“He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris,” Snoop said during the interview. Michael Harris was serving time in federal prison for drug offenses and was a co-founder of Death Row Records, which was Snoop’s first record, per the outlet.
