FACT CHECK: Did Former MLB Player Zack Cozart Endorse Harris?

A post shared on X claims that former MLB player Zack Cozart endorsed 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Verdict: False

There is no evidence that shows Cozart endorsed Harris. Cozart has expressed support for 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump multiple times.

Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming that Cozart endorsed Harris in the 2024 presidential election. One such claim reads, “Zack Cozart (@zack_cozart) endorses Kamala Harris for president.”

The claim is false. There is no evidence that shows Cozart endorsed Harris. Cozart has expressed his support for Trump on multiple occasions. (RELATED: No, The Heritage Foundation Did Not Endorse Kamala Harris)

Cozart’s X bio reads “Trump2024.” Cozart expressed his support for Trump on Election Day, writing. “Get up and VOTE Trump 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.” In a November 4 X post, Cozart also urged people to “VOTE!” for Trump, writing “#trump2024.”

In July, Cozart expressed his support for Trump before Trump gave remarks at the Republican National Convention. Cozart posted a photo on X of himself wearing a hat that reads “TRUMP.”

This is not the first time false claims of athletes endorsing a candidate in the 2024 presidential election have circulated online. Check Your Fact previously debunked a claim that former NFL kicker Chris Jacke endorsed Harris.

Check Your Fact has reached out to the Harris campaign and Cozart for comment.
