Verdict: False
The video was originally posted in February 2024, predating Combs’ arrest several months later.
Fact Check:
Peacock will be releasing a documentary about Combs titled “Diddy: The Making Of a Bad Boy” that includes interviews with his former bodyguard and intern, according to Newsweek. Comb continues to deny the allegations of wrongdoing and calls them “defamatory,” the outlet reported.
The Instagram post purports Combs rode a dirt bike in prison. The video shows a man in an orange prison jumpsuit riding the bike in loops around a prison facility.
The text on the video reads, “Diddy riding a bike in jail.”
The caption reads, in part, “New footage leaked of P. Diddy in prison—apparently, they can’t hold him down! Riding circles on a dirt bike, proving he’s still a Bad Boy for life.”
The video does not depict Combs, however, and predates his arrest. It was originally posted to Instagram on Feb. 24, 2024. Combs was arrested Sept. 16, 2024, according to CNN.
