A video shared on Facebook claims to show an explosion at a Pakistani Army headquarters.

Verdict: False

The video doesn’t show a massive blast at a Pakistani Army headquarters. The video is likely from Syria.

Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming to show a massive blast at the Pakistani Army Headquarters. One user wrote, “Massive Blast at Pakistan Army Headquarters, 20 Soldiers Burned Alive!”

This claim is false. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the video is likely taken in Syria. An account that shared the video claimed it was from the Damascus countryside. (RELATED: Has Trump Ordered The Keystone Pipeline To’ Transport Only American Oil?’)

“A fuel tanker exploded in Douma, Damascus countryside,” reads the tweet. The video was also shared by Al-Jazeera Syria on Facebook, with the post reading, “A fuel tank exploded near the Misraba Bridge in the city of Douma in the Damascus countryside.”

Newsmeter also debunked the claim. Check Your Fact also could not find any media reporting on a massive blast at the Pakistani Army headquarters.
