Geoff Ingersoll: Editor-in-Chief, The Daily Caller
Ingersoll graduated from Penn State in 2004. After enlisting in the Marine Corps. in 2005, he deployed twice to Iraq, once to the DMZ in South Korea, and won several journalism awards. Geoff attended graduate journalism school at NYU, then embedded with Marines in Afghanistan. Before joining The Daily Caller in 2017, he served as the defense editor for Military, Defense, Foreign Policy at Business Insider, the managing editor of Marine Corps Times, and the managing editor of The Daily Caller News Foundation. You can find his work highlighted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, Salon, New York Daily News, CNN and many others. He is hopelessly addicted to the news.
Jesse Stiller: Managing Editor, Check Your Fact
Stiller joined Check Your Fact as an editor in January 2022. He graduated from the College of New Jersey in December 2020 and has previously worked for Campus Reform, The Western Journal and served as the Nation and World editor for his school newspaper, The Signal.
Melissa Hawk: Editor, Check Your Fact
Melissa grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Montclair State University with a B.A. in English. While studying, Melissa served as a staff writer and editor for the college paper, The Montclarion. She has been at Check Your Fact since October 2022.
Max Asher Kirsch: Editor, Check Your Fact
Max “Asher” Kirsch grew up in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. He attended college at both The New School and Arizona State University, where he graduated with a B.A. degree in Film and Media Studies. Asher is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism at New York University. He has worked as an editor at Check Your Fact since May 2022.
Elias Atienza: Senior Reporter
Atienza grew up in California and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a B.A in History. Atienza served as the opinion editor for his college newspaper, Mustang News, and interned at the Daily Caller News Foundation and the Santa Barbara News-Press through the National Journalism Center in 2018 and 2019. He joined Check Your Fact in October 2019.
Anna Mock: Reporter
Mock grew up in South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Journalism. During her time in college, she served as Copy Desk Chief for The Daily Gamecock and a reporter for Carolina News. She joined Check Your Fact in April 2022.
Joseph Casieri: Reporter
Casieri joined Check Your Fact as a reporter in August 2022. Prior to joining the team, he studied Political Science at Bridgewater State University and interned as a researcher for the National Security and Foreign Policy Department of the Heritage Foundation. He also previously interned for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Christine Sellers: Reporter
Sellers was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She attended college at La Salle University, where she graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Journalism. Prior to joining Check Your Fact in July 2022, Christine was a freelance writer at the Daily Caller.
Morgan Johnson: Data Entry Assistant
Johnson was born and raised in central Florida. She started her career in research and moderation in 2018 as an internet research analyst at Wonder. In 2019, she moved on to a rater position at Lionbridge. She joined the Check Your Fact team in February 2022.
Anthony Pascone: Data Entry Assistant
Tony was born and raised in Rhode Island, and graduated in 2020 with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. An avid travel junkie and newfound gym rat, he currently lives near Tampa, FL with his chunky dog, Cherie. He joined Check Your Fact in August 2023.
