Verdict: False

This screenshot is fabricated. A spokesperson for Fox News confirmed that the outlet never published such an article.

Fact Check:

An extremist pro-choice group, called “Jane’s Revenge,” has allegedly urged protesters to congregate in Washington D.C. to partake in “a night of rage” following the Supreme Court’s ruling on a major abortion case, according to The Independent.

An Instagram post, liked over 2,800 times, shows what appears to be a screengrab of an article published by Fox News titled “‘They/them’ summer: a new far-left extremist plot to undermine American democracy.” The article,, supposedly published June 19, is attributed to Fox News Digital Reporter Danielle Wallace.

“Experts warn that the ‘deoedipianized theys’ are a far greater threat than Islamic terrorists,” reads the subheadline of the article. (RELATED: Did Fox News Tweet About Studies That Link Ivermectin To Incontinence?)

The image is digitally fabricated. No such article exists on the Fox News website or on the outlet’s verified Twitter, Facebook or Instagram accounts. Wallace’s page on the website does not feature a story with such a headline. There are no news reports suggesting any outlet ran a story with the title.

“Can confirm this is not a genuine article published by FOX News,” a spokesperson from Fox News confirmed in an email to Check Your Fact.

This is not the first time misinformation about Fox News has been spread online. Check Your Fact previously debunked a claim from January 2020 that suggested the outlet had switched its accreditation from “news” to “entertainment.”
