Verdict: Misleading

While the video shows Clinton attending a space-themed birthday party hosted by a close acquaintance, the party was not satanic-themed.

Fact Check:

Clinton has repeatedly been associated with online theories that she’s participated in satanic rituals, including the now-debunked “Pizzagate” theory during the 2016 election, according to Newsweek. One such theory, called “frazzledrip,” alleges Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin tortured a young girl to death before drinking her blood, the outlet reported.

Now, an Instagram video claims Clinton recently attended a satanic cult ritual. Clinton appears on stage at an event wearing a long purple robe in front of strobe lights and a blue background.

“BREAKING BIZARRE LEAKED VIDEO SHOWS HILLARY DRESSED AS SPACE CULT LEADER DURING ANNUAL EARTH RITUAL,” text overlay above the video reads. The post’s caption calls the attendees “STANIC WORHSIPERS.”

The claim is incorrect. A keyword search using the outlet identified in the watermark generates an article from Next News Network. The phrase, “Close Encounters of the New Kind,” can be seen projected on a screen behind Clinton. The article also reveals that the event was a birthday party for Ann Drake, who serves as the chair and president of the Women’s Leadership Center.

An online invitation obtained by Lead Stories confirms Drake hosted a space-themed party called “Close Encounters Of A New Kind” from Sept. 2 to 5 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The party also included a costume contest judged by a real-life astronaut, according to the invitation.

“Come in your full space/future-focused themed full costume or theme-inspired attire — anything goes!,” the invitation reads. At no point does the invitation mention satanic-like rituals or events. (RELATED: Was Hillary Clinton Indicted After Rand Paul Revealed ‘Evidence’?)
