A post shared on Facebook purports U.S. special forces arrested World Economic Forum (WEF) leader Klaus Schwab and other elites responsible for an unspecified genocide.

Verdict: False

The claim stems from a website that spreads unproven conspiracy theories. There is no evidence such an arrest took place.

Fact Check:

Ukraine’s G7 allies have pledged to replenish their military air defense stockpile, Al Jazeera reported. As winter approaches European allies have granted $1.05 Billion to support Ukraine during the harsh weather, Reuters reported.

The Facebook post claims U.S. Special Forces arrested the elites responsible for a massive genocide. The post features a blue background and a link to “snappygoat.com” in the lower right corner.

“On Sat. 3 Dec. 2022 U.S. Special Forces began arrests of Klaus Schwab,” the post reads. “The BIS, the WEF and other elites in Switzerland in an ongoing operation to stop those who ordered the genocide of 90% of the world’s population”

The claim stems from an unproven conspiracy theory website. The claim originates from a Dec 5. article from Operation Disclosure Official and is labeled as “unverified.” In the website’s disclaimer, they state they can not “guarantee” the truthfulness of information found on the website and their claims are “presented as unverified.”

There are no credible news reports suggesting that this arrest had occurred. There is no mention of this arrest on any of Schwab’s verified Twitter accounts or the WEF’s social media accounts. (RELATED: Did CNN Report The Russians Gave Brittney Griner A DNA Test To Determine Her Gender?)

This is not the first time a misinformation has been promoted as true on social media. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim a fire broke out at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
