FACT CHECK: Did Donald Trump Make This Post Insulting His Former Administration Staff?

A photo shared on Facebook allegedly shows a Truth Social post from former President Donald Trump making various insults about his former administration staff.

Verdict: False

This is not a genuine post from Trump. It cannot be found on Trump’s Truth Social page or in any credible news reports.

Fact Check:

Trump allies have filed a 15-page complaint with the Florida Commission on Ethics against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for an alleged violation of campaign ethics rules, including an alleged effort to “influence the national electorate,” The Associated Press reported. DeSantis has privately indicated to allies that he intends to run for the 2024 presidential election, according to ABC News.

The Facebook post shows a screenshot that appears to be from Trump’s Truth Social account insulting many of his former administration staff and political figures. Former Vice President Mike Pence, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Trump advisor Steve Bannon are among the many named in the screenshot.

“A winning team,” the caption reads. “The best of the best — assembled by a genius indeed.”

The post is fabricated, however. The post cannot be found on Trump’s Truth Social page. Likewise, Check Your Fact found no credible news reports to prove that Trump made such a statement. (RELATED: Did Trump Share An Image Of Rioters Handing Flowers To Police On Jan. 6?)

Check Your Fact has reached out to Trump’s office for comment and will update this piece accordingly if one is received.

This is not the first time a fabricated Trump post has gone viral. Check Your Fact recently debunked a post claiming to show a tweet from Trump saying “the storm is upon us,” a phrase largely associated with the QAnon conspiracy theory movement.
