Fact Check:

Country music star Travis Tritt announced he would remove Anheuser-Busch products from his tour bus after the brewing company featured transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney in a new Bud Light promotion, according to Fox News. Bud Light’s partnership with Mulvaney has prompted social media backlash from conservatives, CBS News reported.

The Twitter post purports Anheuser-Busch’s CEO resigned over plummeting sales of Bud Light. The post names Augustus Anheuser III as the company’s CEO and claims he resigned following pushback over a recent campaign.

The claim is false. There are no credible news reports suggesting Anheuser-Busch’s CEO resigned over plummeting sales of Bud Light. Likewise, the claim neither appears on the brewing company’s website nor its verified social media accounts. In addition, the purported claim is not mentioned on Bud Light’s verified Twitter account.
