FACT CHECK: Did Lindsey Graham Endorse Mike Pence As The 2024 Presidential Republican Nominee?

A post shared on Twitter claims South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has endorsed former Vice President Mike Pence.

Verdict: False

There is no evidence for the claim. Graham has endorsed former President Donald Trump, according to credible news reports.

Fact Check:

Graham stated that former President Donald Trump will emerge stronger in his reelection campaign after his recent indictment, which many conservatives believe is politically motivated, according to ABC News. Graham stated the Espionage Act charges against Trump are “absolutely ridiculous” and that Trump did not commit espionage, Post and Courier reported.

A tweet claims Graham has endorsed Pence instead of Trump. “Lindsey Graham has endorsed Pence. This one caught me off guard, I thought he was a [100] Trump. Thoughts people,” the tweet reads, including a red “100” emoji.

The claim is fabricated, however. Check Your Fact found no credible news reports about Graham endorsing Pence. Graham posted on Facebook that Pence has “much to offer the country,” but did not give an official endorsement.

“Mike Pence is one of the hardest working and most decent people I have ever known,” the post reads, in part. “The field has grown in a very good way by his decision to throw his hat in the ring for the 2024 Republican Presidential nomination.”

Instead of Pence, Graham has endorsed former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, according to Newsweek. (RELATED: Does This Photo Show John Mccain And Lindsey Graham Alongside Bin Laden?)
