A TikTok video shared on Twitter claims a woman purportedly called 2024 presidential hopeful and Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis “just another establishment little b–ch” at a recent campaign event.

Verdict: False

Audio of the “just another establishment little b–ch” comment appears to have been added to the video. The original video, shared on Rumble, shows the woman discussing fentanyl deaths in America with DeSantis at the 51:30-minute mark.

Fact Check:

DeSantis said he would eliminate the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Departments of Energy, Commerce, and Education in a Wednesday interview with Fox News host Martha MacCallum, according to Reuters. DeSantis vowed to “push back against woke ideology and leftism” that he says has been “creeping into all institutions of American life,” The Guardian reported.

“[I] just came here to let you know that you’ll never be our president. You’re just another establishment little b–ch,” a female voice can be heard saying in the video, which has been viewed over 400,000 times. The woman is not shown on screen.

The campaign event took place Sunday in Eagle Pass, Texas, where the Republican Florida Governor and 2024 hopeful toured part of the Texas border, according to NBC News. The event also preceded DeSantis’ unveiling of his immigration platform, the outlet indicated. (RELATED: No, Bill Gates Did Not Endorse Ron DeSantis For President)

DeSantis has not publicly addressed the digitally manipulated video despite how much traction it has gained on social media. The Florida Republican Governor has neither issued a statement on his website nor his verified social media accounts labeling the audio as fake.

Likewise, there are no credible news reports supporting the claim that the woman made the purported remark directed at DeSantis during the campaign event.

Check Your Fact has contacted DeSantis’ campaign spokesperson for comment and will update this piece accordingly if one is received.
