FACT CHECK: Did Moms For Liberty Share A Quote From Hitler?
A post shared on social media purports the Hamilton County, Indiana chapter of Moms for Liberty shared a quote from Adolf Hitler.

The claim is accurate. The chapter that used the quote removed the message and apologized for its usage.

The Madison Country, Alabama chapter of the Moms for Liberty gathered hundreds to meet at the county library to hold an event “See You at the Library,” according to Local News 19. “Growing Pains” actor Kirk Cameron announced that he would attend the event in support of Moms for Liberty.
Tess Gerritsen, author of the “Rizzoli and Isles” book series that inspired the show of the same name, claimed in a Twitter post that Moms for Liberty apologized for quoting Adolf Hitler. The post shared an image and an article from the IndyStar covering the claim.
The caption reads, “And yet another ‘OMG’. Moms for Liberty’s Hamilton County chapter apologizes for quoting Hitler in newsletter” The chapter allegedly used the quote “He alone, who OWNS the youth, GAINS the future,” which has been credited to Hitler.
The claim is correct. The IndyStar article, along with other credible news reports such as USA Today and NBC News covered the event. The Indiana chapter of Moms for Liberty quoted the dictator in a Newsletter called “The Parent Brigade,” according to the Associated Press (AP). The quote allegedly comes from a 1935 speech given by the Nazi dictator, AP reported.

“We condemn Adolf Hitler’s actions and his dark place in human history. We should not have quoted him in our newsletter and we express our deepest apology,” Miller wrote, according to AP.
The Indy Star reported that Moms for Liberty also said in their update, “The quote from a horrific leader should put parents on alert. If the government has control over our children today, they control our country’s future. We The People must be vigilant and protect children from an overreaching government.”
