A transcript available via the White House’s website indicates Biden said, “The State of Israel was born to be a safe place for the Jewish people of the world. That’s why it was born.” Biden never claimed he was born in Israel, as the post suggests. A White House spokesperson also denied the claim’s validity in an email to Check Your Fact.
Biden said, “American leadership is what holds the world together” during a Thursday primetime speech focusing on the current conflicts in both Israel and Ukraine, according to Reuters. Biden is set to ask Congress for $100 billion in new spending, with $60 billion set aside for Ukraine and $14 billion set aside for Israel, the outlet reported.
