Verdict: False

This video is miscaptioned. It was originally recorded in July and shows a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon.

Fact Check:

Hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters gathered inside Capitol Hill to call for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, according to Fox News. President Joe Biden warned Israelis to not make the same “mistakes” the U.S. did following the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, warning them to not be “consumed” with hate for Hamas, The Independent reported.

The TikTok video appears to show children digging through rubble and uncovering bags of food. “Palestinian kids searching for burnt food after airstrikes,” text overlaid on the video reads.

This video is miscaptioned, however. It was originally posted to TikTok on July 21, predating the Israel-Hamas conflict. After being translated to English from Arabic, the caption reads, “From the Hanin Al-Minya camp fire.”

A fire broke out at a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon on July 21, Middle East news outlet Al-Monitor reported. No human casualties were reported, but a number of people were injured and moved to a nearby hospital, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Video Shows Fireworks, Not Aftermath Of Israeli Airstrikes On Gaza)
