A video shared on social media purports that a B-2 Stealth Bomber was seen over New York is a sign that Hezbollah has declared war on Israel.

The caption is inaccurate. The B-2 detected was part of a training mission.

Fact Check:

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah threatened the U.S. Navy saying he had something in store for U.S. vessels, according to Reuters. Though Hezbollah has not confirmed, reports indicate they may be referring to a Russian-made missile.

The TikTok post claims that on Nov. 2 a stealth bomber was seen in New York. They further claim there is a military operation in preparation for the terrorist group Hezbollah to declare war on Israel.

The video text overlay reads, “b-2 Stealth Bomber seen over New York. Hezbollah may declare war on Israel tomm.”

The caption is inaccurate. A B-2 was seen in New York on Nov. 2, however, it was part of a training mission. Local news outlets reported that West Point issued a warning of the flyover on Oct. 17. Hezbollah has launched attacks on Israeli forces. PBS reported seven Israeli Defense Force troops were wounded by attacks from Hezbollah. Tension along the Lebanon-Israel border continues to escalate.
