(WARNING: Graphic Video)
Verdict: False
The video was originally shared on YouTube in October 2015 and showed 13-year-old Ahmed Manasra, who had been run over by an Israeli patrol. Manasra did not die as a result of the incident, according to Reuters. A spokesperson for the IDF denied the claim’s validity in an email to Check Your Fact.
Fact Check:
The Israeli military recently said it had discovered a major Hamas command center in Gaza City, according to The Associated Press. The military described the discovery as a “serious blow” to Hamas, the outlet reported.
The X video, viewed over 200,000 times, purports to show a child who was allegedly slaughtered by the IDF amid the current Israel-Hamas conflict. In the video, the child can be seen lying in a pool of blood as people shout at him off-camera. A police officer and a white vehicle appear just slightly out of frame at the video’s conclusion.
The video is neither recent nor linked to the current Israel-Hamas conflict, however. The video was originally shared on YouTube in October 2015 and showed 13-year-old Manasra, who had been run over by an Israeli patrol.
“An Israeli Patrol ran over the 13- year-old Palestinian school boy Ahmed Manasra on Oct. 12, 2015. The Israeli Patrol officers had brutally beaten the Jerusalemite boy after deliberately running over him,” the video’s description reads.
Manasra did not die as a result of the incident and was treated at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, according to Reuters. The incident followed another incident in which Manasra and his 15-year-old cousin were accused of stabbing two Israeli boys, the outlet indicated.
Manasra was convicted for his role in the stabbings in 2016, The New York Times reported. According to the outlet, Manasra was run over by a police vehicle while fleeing the scene of the crime. Manasra and his cousin were both seen on security footage armed with knives.
Manasra was still alive as of September 2023 when Amnesty International indicated he was taken to the mental health unit of Ayalon Prison following two years of solitary confinement. (RELATED: Here’s What We Know About Israel And The Holy Family Catholic Parish In Gaza)

A spokesperson for the IDF denied the claim’s validity in an email to Check Your Fact.
“Hamas is a terrorist organization that uses propaganda methods and psychological terrorism. Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and massacred men, women and children on October 7, since the IDF has been fighting the terrorist organization,” the spokesperson said.
