The Facebook image claims there were no American flags at the recent Harris-Walz 2024 campaign rally in Philadelphia. The image features Harris and Walz on stage at the rally with a crowd of supporters visible behind them. “Not an American flag in sight,” the post’s caption reads. Besides Facebook, the claim circulated on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter, where it amassed over five million views.

The claim is false. Video of the rally shows two large American flags hanging on either side of a Harris-Walz campaign banner on the stage. The flags are visible at the video’s 29:32 timestamp. Likewise, the flags are also visible in an image of the rally shared by Harris on X on August 6.

Likewise, Check Your Fact did not find any credible news reports suggesting there were no American flags at the recent Harris-Walz 2024 campaign rally in Philadelphia. Actually, the opposite is true. On August 7, Lead Stories reported the claim was false.

In its article, the outlet indicated it had covered the rally and had sent a staff member to take photographs. Photographs from the rally included in the article also show the two American flags hanging on either side of the Harris-Walz campaign banner on the stage.
