Verdict: False

The post stems from a parody account.

Fact Check:

Greene has called Vice President Kamala Harris a liar, insisting a woman died from an abortion pill and not due to the Georgia abortion ban as Harris claims, Newsweek reported. Greene took to social media to criticize the VP and claim that the woman, Amber Nicole Thurman, would be alive had he not taken the pill, according to the outlet.

A post shared on Instagram allegedly shows a screenshot of a post from Greene that claims Obama’s presidency was the downfall of the U.S. The screenshot also includes an alleged response that implies Greene is a racist.

The post reads, “Who else thinks the Downfall of America started with Barack Obama?”

The claim is inaccurate. There is no record of this post on any of her social media accounts.

The post originated on a parody X account. The image in the Instagram post cuts off the part of the handle that features the parody label. The account features a parody disclaimer in the handle and in the bio of the account that reads, “Pro Elon Musk (parody).” (RELATED: Marjorie Taylor Greene Post Claims ‘ABC Whistleblower’ Died In Car Crash)

This is not the first time misinformation has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim that an X post showed a Ukrainian tank column in Kursk.
