A post shared on Facebook claims musician Taylor Swift was forced to cancel some of her tour dates after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election.

Fact Check: 

Swift shared her endorsement for Harris to Instagram following the first debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump, according to Newsweek. A recent survey found that 76 percent of likely voters said that Swift’s endorsement did not affect their mood towards Harris’ candidacy, the outlet reported.

A Facebook post alleges that Swift canceled tour dates after she faced backlash for her endorsement of Harris. The post includes images of both women along with the text, “Taylor Swift Cancel Eras Tour Dates Following Endorsement Backlash: ‘Only 2,300 Tickets Sold,'” the caption reads.

This post is baseless, however. There are no credible news reports to corroborate the claim. Swift’s site has a page specifically for her tour that still shows several upcoming shows. 

The claim originates from a site called Esspots, which Check Your Fact has debunked numerous times previously. Check Your Fact reached out to a Swift spokesperson for comment.
