A post shared on X depicts 2024 Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, in front of a “Revolutionary Communists of America” poster.

Verdict: False
The video has been altered to include the “Revolutionary Communists of America” poster.

Fact Check:

A post shared on X depicts Harris and Walz in front of a “Revolutionary Communists of America” in a Phoenix campaign office. The caption reads, “Whatever you do, do not share this again. Kamala hates the fact that she’s been branded as a communist. Even though it’s 100% true.”

The claim is false. The video shared on X had been altered to include the poster. The original video depicts Harris and Walz in front of a sign that reads, “Kamala and The Coach.” (RELATED: Does This Video Show Harris Refusing To Answer Question About Economy?)

A post that Walz shared on X also depicts the two candidates in front of a sign that reads, “Kamala and The Coach.” The post’s caption reads, “Thank you, @KamalaHarris, for believing in something so beautiful and simple: the promise of our nation. You bring compassion, decency, and joy to this race.”

No reputable sources have reported on Harris and Walz posing in front of a “Revolutionary Communists of America” poster. Lead Stories has also debunked this claim.
