The findings of President Joe Biden’s independent panel tasked with reviewing the attempted assassination of Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania were made public Thursday, CBS News reported. The panel, which dedicated its work to the victims of the attempt, found mistakes in the Secret Service’s operations and called for “reform,” according to the outlet.

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows a video of Trump allegedly calling for the banning of video games.  In the video, Trump is speaking into a microphone.

The caption reads, “Donald Trump says he will ban video games. Retweet if you think he just lost the Millennial and Gen Z vote.”

The claim is inaccurate. The video dates back to August 2019. Trump suggested violent video games play a role in the inspiration behind mass shootings. Trump said in part, “We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace.” At no point in the video or elsewhere did he pledge to outlaw video games. Trump met with video game creators to discuss the role violent video games play in crime in 2018, USA Today reported. They discussed violence in video games and its influence on its players after a school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
