An X post claims to show a giant tunnel with an underground grotto that was supposedly in rapper Diddy’s Los Angeles mansion.

Verdict: False

The image actually shows the Grand Canyon, and there is no evidence of any tunnels on Diddy’s property.

Fact Check:

Entertainer and businessman Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was arrested in New York City in September on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. The prosecution of Combs has also spawned numerous conspiracy theories, some of which involve inappropriate contact with pop star Justin Bieber.

A post being shared on X claims that there was a tunnel found in Diddy’s Los Angeles mansion. It shows a beige colored underground grotto that is supposedly interconnected with the home.

The cavern shown is the Grand Canyon, however. Check Your Fact ran the picture through reverse image search service TinEye, which brings back many results that all seem to confirm that the picture is of Arizona’s landmark destination.

PopTingz” is the X account sharing the fake picture, and they reference “the Lanation website” as proof. A Google search lead us to ‘La Nation,’ the Argentinian newspaper of record. There is an article that states Diddy’s mansion has a grotto, which was then confirmed by another outlet.

There is no proof that the real grotto is connected to the property via underground tunnel, nor is it being used for nefarious reasons. Diddy’s family proclaims his innocence.
