A post shared on X claims musician Taylor Swift was listed in the lawsuit against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs that accuses him of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Verdict: False

The accompanying image allegedly showing Combs and Swift has been digitally fabricated and Swift is not named in the lawsuit.

Fact Check:

A personal trainer is filing a lawsuit against Combs, saying that he spiked his drink at a party and then forced him to be explicitly involved with several people, according to New York Post. The suit which identifies the plaintiff as “John Doe” and is one of many suits which his lawyers claim are “clear attempts to garner publicity,” the outlet reported.

An X post alleges that Swift has been named in a lawsuit accusing Combs of raping a 13-year-old. It appears to show an image of Combs and Swift embracing on a bed.

“‘Celebrity A’ held the 13-year-old girl down and r*ped her while Combs and ‘Celebrity B,’ a female, watched. Source: Allegations in New Lawsuit,” the caption reads, implying that the female “Celebrity B” is referring to Swift.

This claim is inaccurate, however. Swift is not named in the lawsuit. It lists “Jane Doe” as the plaintiff and defendants listed include Combs as well as record labels and studios he operated such as Daddy’s House Recordings Studio and Bad Boy Entertainment. The image of Swift and Combs is AI-generated. Hive Moderation shows a 99% likelihood of it being AI. TrueMedia.org says the image shows “substantial evidence of manipulation.” There are several aspects of the photo that indicate to the naked-eye that is is AI generated, for instance there is another left arm across Diddy’s stomach.
