Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming that Minaj endorsed Trump. One user wrote, “🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨The Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj is Endorsing Donald Trump to be President.”

On October 29th, Forbes released a list of Harris and Trump’s “Biggest Celebrity Endorsements.” Minaj’s name did not appear on the list for either candidate.

The Trinidadian-born rapper has previously expressed a dislike towards former President Trump’s policies. In a 2020 RollingStone interview, Minaj stated, “I’m not gonna jump on the Donald Trump bandwagon.”

“I couldn’t imagine a little child going through all of that, trying to get to another country because they didn’t have money in their country, or whether you’re fleeing from war … and then being taken away from the one person that makes you feel comfort. That is what really raised my eyebrows,” she also said.

This is not the first time false endorsement claims regarding the 2024 presidential race have circulated online. Check Your Fact has previously debunked claims that the New York Times and Karl Rove endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

Check Your Fact has reached out to the Trump Campaign and Minaj for comment.
