A post shared on X claims to depict a large North Carolina crowd at a rally for 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

The video shows a concert that was held to support hurricane victims.

Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming to depict a large North Carolina crowd at a rally for Harris. One user wrote, “Holy s***, North Carolina is gonna elect Kamala Harris y’all, check out the crowd.”

The claim is false. Check Your Fact found that the video depicts a concert that was held at North Carolina’s Bank of America Stadium to help Hurricane Helene victims. The video was originally uploaded to TikTok on October 27th.

The caption reads, “Country for Carolina benefit concert in Charlotte tonight, great turnout for a great cause, love my hometown state NC ❤️.”(RELATED: Were There 200,000 Attendees At Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden Rally?)

According to The Charlotte Observer, 82,193 fans bought tickets to attend the benefit concert. Harris’ rallies have averaged approximately 13,400 attendees per rally, according to Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation.

The concert was held on October 26th. Harris was campaigning with former First Lady Michelle Obama in Michigan on October 26th.

The post also claims that North Carolina is going to elect Harris. Although the outcome of the presidential election is impossible to predetermine, 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is currently leading in the North Carolina polls, not Harris.

Check Your Fact has reached out to the Harris campaign for comment.
