A post shared on social media purports that the World Health Organization has admitted that Monkeypox is a side effect of the Covid-19 vaccine.

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports that WHO has said that Monkeypox is a side effect of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. The post shared an article that features a photo of man speaking in front of a background that reads “World Economic Forum.”

The claim is inaccurate. The post links to an article in an outlet called Slay news that claims the VIgiAccess website confirms that Mpox is a side effect of the vaccine. However, this portal is used to allow individuals to list any symptoms or illness that occurred following them taking the shot

The website describes the portal saying, “VigiAccess is intended as a useful starting point for people who wish to understand more about the types of potential side effects that have been reported following the use of a medicinal product. Furthermore, WHO has not claimed any such side effects on their social media accounts. Likewise the WHO has released no such announcement on their website.
