A post shared on social media purportedly shows a woman saying she and her husband will have to get jobs now that former President Donald Trump won the election.

Verdict: False

The video stems from a satire account.

Fact Check:

President-elect Donald Trump has made several announcements about who will fill key roles in his cabinet, the team includes members of his team and several politicians, Time Magazine reported. Susie Wiles will be the chief of staff and former director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan will fill a role titled “border czar.”

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows a woman saying that her family will not be able to live off the government now that Trump is president. The video shows a woman wearing a green top speaking to the camera.

The caption reads, “‘Donald Trump is going to force us to get jobs and take our free check away.’ What would you guys like to say to this freeloader?”

The claim is inaccurate. Kass Theaz, the woman in the video, is a satire content creator. She has a satirical Instagram and TikTok account that features several parody videos. Both of these accounts clearly self-identify as parody/satire in the bio.

This content creator has gone viral in the past for similar videos that have been taken seriously, which Check Your Fact has also covered. In one video, she claimed that she was suing her parents for having her. Another video shows her claiming to be a lesbian suing her sperm donor for 40% of his paycheck. (RELATED: No, Joe Biden Did Not Tell Kamala Harris ‘That’s What You Get’)

This is not the first time misinformation has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim Rihanna said she would release new music if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the election.
