A post shared on X claims to show Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services Rachel Levine is a pagan priest.

Verdict: False

The video shows someone else, not Levine.

Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming that Levine is a pagan priest. These claims are accompanied by a video of a person in a robe. (RELATED: No, Elon Musk Did Not Announce A Water-Powered Car Engine)

“Assistant secretary of health and human services Dr ‘Rachel’ Levine is also a High Pagan Priestess. This is so stunning and brave, more braver than the most stunning thing I’ve ever seen,” one user wrote.

This claim is false. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the video is from September 2024 and was shared on Instagram. The video shows Selena Fox, a self-identified “hedge witch” and “High Priestess of Circle Sanctuary.”

“Equinoxiscoming next Sunday, September 22. Celebrate with #EquinoxRitual #EquinoxMagic #EquinoxChant #Equinox #EquinoxBlessings,” reads part of the Instagram post.

The video has been digitally manipulated to make it seem as if it is Levine, not Fox. Therefore, Check Your Fact rates this claim false.
