A post shared on social media purports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) called for all fast food CEOs to come to the White House.

Verdict: False

The claim stems from satire.

Fact Check:

President-elect Donald Trump recently announced several new choices for his Cabinet, among them was Dr. Mehmet Oz, USA Today reported. He also announced Howard Lutnick, Linda McMahon and Sean Duffy as his choices for other roles in his Cabinet.

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports RFK Jr. invited fast food CEOs to the White House.  The post shared an image of the alleged invitation, which looks to be another X post.

The alleged post reads, “Attention, all fast-food CEOs! Donald Trump and I are inviting you to the White House on January 23, 2025. Bring your best ideas because it’s time to clean up the menu. Seed oils & harmful ingredients are on the chopping block. Help us Make America Healthy Again! MAGA+MAHA.”

The claim is inaccurate. The screenshot image that was posted cuts off the full name of the account. No such post appears on Kennedy’s authentic X account. The post stems from a Kennedy Parody account called Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Parody).

Kennedy has criticized the fast food industry’s use of seed oil and suggested that tallow should replace it, according to Newsweek. Kennedy was photographed with Trump and other with a McDonald’s meal while on Trump’s private jet.

He responded to the photo while on Fox & Friends saying, “I don’t have anything against fast food. I’m against food that has seed oils. When I was a kid, McDonald’s was made with tallow [animal] fat, that was good for you, and your body needs that, it makes you healthy. Why aren’t we making it with tallow fat again?” (RELATED: Has McDonald’s Offered RFK Jr. $850 Million In ‘Hush Money’?)

This is not the first time misinformation surrounding McDonald’s has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim Elon Musk is purchasing the company.
