The claim appears to have originated as satire. Satirical website SpaceXMania published a story titled “Alyssa Milano to Sell All Red State Properties, Plans Move to Blue State: “I Dont’ Feel Safe Here.”

The satire reads, “In the wake of Donald Trump’s latest electoral victory and the surge of Republican wins in red states, actress and activist Alyssa Milano has reportedly announced her decision to sell all of her properties in red states and relocate to a blue state, claiming she no longer “feels safe.”

The satire contains a disclaimer that reads, “NOTE: This is SATIRE, It’s Not True.” The SpaceXMania website’s About Us section reads, “Our mission? To bring you the freshest fake news, some sassy analysis, and a good dose of satire.”

SpaceXMania told Check Your Fact, “The respective post originated as Satire but it was stolen and posted without the disclaimers.” A similar claim was shared on Facebook.
