Musk has called for King Charles to dissolve Parliament due to what he believes is Sir Keir Starmer’s mishandling of a child abuse case, The Independent reported. The Labour Party chose not to investigate child grooming.
A post shared on Threads allegedly shows a post from Musk that claims foreigners are good for his business because they work for less. The Threads post received more than 5,000 likes.
“Investing in Americans is actually hard,” the alleged Musk post reads. “Really hard. It costs money and time and effort to make a person productive. It’s a short term net loss. It’s much easier to bring in skilled workers who might not do quite a good a job, but will work for a fraction of the cost and be happy just to be here.”
The claim is inaccurate. There is no record of this post on his social media account. Musk responded to the claim on X and said that the post was fabricated. (RELATED: Did The New York Post Publish Headline About Elon Musk Not Wanting White Males To Get Hired?)
Musk has defended H-1B visas even though President-elect Donald Trump previously criticized the program, according to CNN. Musk claimed on X there is a “dire shortage of extremely talented and motivated engineers in America,” which forces him to go through the visa program.
Trump recently commented on the program saying, “I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” AP News reported.
This is not the first time misinformation about Musk has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim the billionaire visited a café disguised as a homeless man.
