A post shared on social media purports that John Kerry’s daughter Vanessa Kerry claimed that billions of people must die for the ‘New World Order.’

Verdict: False

The claim is inaccurate.

Fact Check:

The death toll has risen to 24 in the California wildfires. NBC News reports that evacuation orders are in place for over 92,000 residents. The Palisades fire had burned 23,00 acres.

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports that Vanessa Kerry claimed that people need to die to usher in the ‘New World Order.’ The caption reads, “John Kerry’s Daughter Says BILLIONS of Humans Must Die for the ‘New World Order.”

The claim is inaccurate. There is no credible news report that suggests that Kerry made this statement. The claim appears to stem from an article from a website called the People’s voice. The article does not show any evidence that she made this statement

The article shares some quotes from a speech Kerry gave at the COP28  Reaching the Last Mile Forum. At no point in the address did she claim that billions of people must die. The address was a description of her stance on climate change and the solutions that it offers. She called for people to “embrace the fact that good human health is the fundamental building block to every aspect of a flourishing society. Without robust and expansive physical and mental well-being.”  (RELATED: Does This Video Show A Coca-Cola Truck Caught For Sex Trafficking Children?)

This is not the first time misinformation has been shared online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim a U.K. newspaper recently published a photo of “grooming gangs.”
