McAfee’s X account started promoting a meme coin on Jan. 23, according to Mashable. McAfee died in 2021 in Spain due to suicide, per the outlet.

McAfee’s widow, Janice McAfee, has said that he is dead. In a Jan. 22 tweet, she referenced John McAfee’s “untimely death.” There is no evidence that McAfee is alive.
