FACT CHECK: Facebook Video Does Not Show Authentic Air Force One Flyby

A video shared on Facebook purports to show a recent Air Force One flyby.

Verdict: False

The video originally stems from TikTok and was digitally created using “mixed reality.”

Fact Check:

Boeing is working with Tesla CEO Elon Musk to deliver delayed and over-budget replacements for Air Force One “sooner,” according to CNBC. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg said the company has been “engaging with Elon” on the matter during a recent CNBC interview, the outlet reported.

The Facebook video purports to show a recent Air Force One flyby. “Trumps [sic] Air Force One conducted several flybys for Navy Sailors on an aircraft carrier stationed in the Atlantic, near Washington DC. So damn cool!!!” the video’s caption reads. The video appears to bear a TikTok label.

The claim is false. The video, which originally stems from TikTok and has amassed over 25,000 views as of writing, was digitally created using “mixed reality.” The video was posted to the platform as well as YouTube by user @iceman_fox1. The user’s YouTube bio reiterates that the channel features “Mixed reality digital aviation videos.”

@iceman_fox1 President Trump’s Air Force One conducted multiple celebratory flybys today for sailors aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, near the Washington, D.C. region. #trump #president #usa #airforceone #washingtondc #inauguration #whitehouse #america #ban #tiktokusa ♬ original sound – iceman_fox1

Likewise, Check Your Fact did not find the claim referenced on Trump’s personal or government X accounts, his verified social media accounts, or his TRUTH Social account. The White House does not publicly appear to have commented on the claim, either. (RELATED: Did Trump Sign An Executive Order Stopping All New Funds To The UNRWA?)

In addition, Check Your Fact did not find any credible news reports to support the claim. Actually, the opposite is true. Both Full Fact and Misbar debunked the claim, labeling the video as having been “digitally created.”

Check Your Fact has contacted the social media user who made the video for comment.
