Fact Check:
Social media users are claiming to show a C-17 Globemaster take off from an aircraft carrier. One user wrote, “The Boeing C-17 Globemaster Amazing Takeoff From Shortest Runway.”
This claim is false. There are very clear indications that the video is computer-generated imagery. First, the account that shared this video has also shared other digitally created content. (RELATED: Did The State Department Say They Would Buy $400 Million Worth Of Tesla Trucks?)
Second, the aircraft carrier is not an American one. U.S. aircraft carriers, such as the USS Nimitz and the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, do not have ramps.
