A post shared on X claims President Donald Trump failed to greet French President Emmanuel Macron.

Trump greeted Macron.

Fact Check:

Macron met with Trump at the White House, where they discussed various items, such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to The Washington Post.

Social media users are claiming that Trump did not greet Macron. One user wrote, “French President Macron arrived at the White House and President Trump didn’t greet him…Macron is in trouble and he knows it.”

This is false. The official Rapid Response X account for the Trump administration shared a video of Trump greeting Macron.

BBC Verify reporter Shayan Sardarizadeh also debunked the claim.

“The claim that President Trump refused to welcome President Macron to the White House today is false. The clip being shared shows Macron arriving at the White House earlier today to join a call with G7 leaders. He was officially welcomed by Trump after the G7 meeting,” Sardarizadeh tweeted.
