A post shared on X claims CNN is not airing President Donald Trump’s address to Congress.

Verdict: False

CNN is airing Trump’s address.

Fact Check:

Trump will address a joint session of Congress, where he’s expected to talk about immigration, tariffs, and other topics, according to NBC News.

Social media users are claiming that CNN isn’t airing Trump’s address. One user wrote,”CNN isn’t airing Trump’s Joint Address to Congress. They aired one Trump rally live in two election cycles—Butler, PA, July 13, 2024. The same rally where he was nearly assassinated. That’s not just a coincidence. The media isn’t just biased—they’re complicit.”

This claim is false. Check Your Fact found no media outlets reporting that CNN is refusing to air the address. A wider internet search also did not yield any results. (RELATED: Claim That Trump Plans To Invalidate Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program Is Satire)

The CNN website’s schedule states it will be airing the address. It will air both Trump’s address and the Democratic response to it, which will be from Democratic Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin.
